John Monkman stands at the forefront of the global electronic music scene. His dynamic performances and cutting-edge studio productions have earned him a reputation as both a live music pioneer and a master of sound design.

Monkman’s work spans across some of the most prestigious labels in electronic music, including Kompakt, Ellum, Beesemyer Music, Siamese, and Anjunadeep. He delivered the mesmerizing track Siren for Kompakt, and collaborated with Pete Tong on Ecstasis for Maceo Plex's Ellum Audio. His releases like the Komplex EP on Anjunadeep and the versatile Tune In Turn On EP for Ellum highlight his diverse range. John has achieved two Beatport number ones with his remix of Solomon Grey's Twilight and his single Don’t Have to Be Beautiful, further cementing his influence in the global electronic music scene.

Monkman’s remix portfolio is equally impressive. His remix of U Love for Sasha’s LNOE 100th release, which received strong support from Patrice Bäumel and Sasha, showcases his creative versatility. His remix of Space Date by Adam Beyer and Green Velvet for Drumcode underscores the respect he commands in the industry. He has also been remixed by Moby. In 2023, Monkman teamed up with Pete Tong once again for an official remix of Duran Duran's Give It Up.

On the live stage, Monkman continues to make an impact. He has headlined key festivals like the UK’s Noisily Festival, taken his live set to Ozora Festival in Hungary, and performed at the Anjunadeep Festival in Albania. His recent accolades include headlining Rainbow Serpent 2021. The debut of John Monkman: Live at Coachella 2018 with The DoLab was a milestone in his career, highlighting his innovative approach to performance.

2024 has been a pivotal year for Monkman. His latest live show, Pulse, premiered in Paris in collaboration with Collectif Scale, breaking new ground with a kinetic light art installation. Filmed in a Paris warehouse on July 6th, the show offers an immersive audiovisual experience. This year also saw the release of Khord on Anjunadeep, along with three singles—Vader, Roller Vox, and MAYA—on Beesemyer Music.
